Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of Replay, a macOS application, and the heyreplay.app website (together, the "Service"). By purchasing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
License
Replay is a one-time purchase. Your purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the current major version of Replay on Apple silicon Macs that you own or control, for personal or internal business use.
License restrictions
You agree not to:
- resell, rent, sublicense, or redistribute the Service or your license key;
- copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service, except as expressly permitted by law;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service, except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits despite this limitation;
- remove or alter any proprietary notices; or
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Payments and refunds
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles billing, payment, and applicable taxes, and your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy's terms. Prices are in U.S. dollars unless stated otherwise. If you are not satisfied, you may request a refund within [30] days of purchase by emailing support@heyreplay.app.
Updates and versions
Your license covers the current major version, including updates we choose to release for that version. Future major versions may be offered as a separate paid upgrade. We do not guarantee that any specific update, feature, or compatibility will be provided.
Recording and your responsibilities
Replay is a tool that records and transcribes audio and video on your device. You are solely responsible for using it lawfully, including obtaining any consent required to record a conversation. Recording laws vary by location, and some jurisdictions require the consent of all participants. You agree to comply with all laws that apply to you and the people you record.
Your content
Replay stores your recordings, transcripts, and related data locally on your device. You own that content. We do not access, collect, or receive it. You are responsible for backing up and securing your own files.
Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, accuracy of transcription, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Replay and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid for it.
Termination
This license terminates automatically if you breach these Terms. On termination you must stop using the Service and delete all copies.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
